Meditation is the practice of aligning your mind, body, and spirit by going deep within yourself to access the power of your belief to create what you truly desire.
With guided meditation you don’t need to know how to meditate, or be worried about it. All that is required of you is to listen. You will glide into the depths of your subconscious mind. First, you will be guided to relax your body and mind to enable you to reach a deep meditative state, which is, unfortunately, easier said than done! Most of us experience ‘constant chatter’ in our heads, and it proves difficult to switch this off. Meditation does enable you to achieve this, and of course you can practise meditation on your own.
However, some people do find it more difficult to concentrate on meditating and switch off the constant thoughts. It can also be difficult to find a quiet space at home without the risk of interruption. The great thing about attending a group guided meditation session is you will be away from any distractions in the home, you will be in a safe and quiet space, and you will easily be able to listen to the words of the meditation.
Caroline will be holding a guided meditation group in the Tedburn St Mary Methodist Church Hall, every other Tuesday evening from July 10th from 7 – 7.45pm. The cost for this will be just £7 per session. No need to book, just turn up.
During the session Caroline will invite you to sit comfortably or lie down, mats and blankets are provided. With regular practice meditation can :
- Alleviate depression and anxiety
- Reduce fatigue and exhaustion
- Improve your confidence and self-worth
- Alleviate pain
- Increase brain function
- Give you the space and time to just breathe, relax, and take time to look after YOU
