What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle and effective system of energy work which activates the body’s own natural abilities to heal itself. The name Reiki originates from the Japanese words ‘rei’ meaning universal, and ‘ki’ meaning energy. Reiki can truly benefit everyone from young babies to adults and it is a safe, non-invasive therapy.

Reiki sessions can reduce stress within the body, therefore inducing a state of relaxation and allowing the body to realign itself. This produces a feeling of total wellbeing which can have a very positive effect on the immune system, amongst many other benefits.

To receive the treatment, you remain fully clothed and lie on a couch or remain seated if preferred. Caroline will then facilitate a channelling of energy by a laying of hands. However, Reiki can also be given using a ‘hands off’ approach if that would make you feel more comfortable.

Reiki is an effective tool to work with and address your entire wellbeing. It can promote self-development, allowing you to be at your optimum to deal with all aspects of life. It is a true system of attaining and promoting wholeness of Mind, Body and Spirit.

It is important to note that Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will therefore not predict any specific outcome from the treatment. If you are concerned about your symptoms, then you should always consult your doctor.
